A bit key heavy but quite nice....howeverI don't see a way to add basic ingredients.For example, apple cider vinegar, chutney..I can get the nutrient amounts from the package(I need calories, sat fat, cholesterol)..

I downloaded three other recipe-builder-program free trials at the same time I downloaded recipe catalog, and none of them came close to the comprehensiveness and user-friendliness of recipe catalog. Where others had confusing menus and a seeming lack of guidance, recipe catalog stepped in to offer me all the assistance I needed in figuring out how to enter my data in the correct areas. Rather than giving me only one or two options for measurements of a specific ingredient, recipe catalog gives 21 measurement options. I could not get it to load! I tried several times to get this to load to Windows XP and each time I got run time errors. I tried it on several systems on our network and one independent system, still nothing. I spent a long while trying to determine the cause. The program downloads to my system, the files are all there, but when the .exe is initiated, it stops and I start getting errors. I'm sorry but I had to remove the software from our computers.

better then most I find that this program once understood will go along way in allowing you to run wild with making your own recipes without having to worry about everything that goes in to a recipe, the work is done for you, I would recommend this program to my friends.

Don't like. Downloaded to an XP sp2 machine. The interface is impossible to decifer, so you start clicking around. The moment you do, it crashes. It does not follow any standards at all for interface design. Looks like it was built as a school project by a 12 year old.

This organizer is quite a fantastic idea. I like the possibility of sorting recipes in different books, which is what I can do. But I can not use the measurements and all other possibilities as I live in another country, Sweden. The other day I did something wrong. I can open my recipe organizer but I can not come further. Explanation: You closed the organizer wrong so it will be closed!But I congratulate those who came up with this idea. I uninstalled this software because it was just too busy for my use. After I started the program, something like four windows opened up, I started closing them and tryed to get a handle on the program. Which after a while I decided was way too much for my purposes and my computer. I was looking for something much simpler than your program. While your program may work well for some people, I was wanting something just to keep my favorite recipes organized. Thank you for the opportunity to check this program out though.

Cook'n stopped working for me after entering about 5 recipes, so I was unable to complete a good evaluation. However,it appears there is no easy way to copy recipes from a simple Word document without entering all the ingredients again individually. I do not really need all of the nice features in your program. I'm basically looking for something where I can: (a) organize m personal recipes (b) print them as a "chapter", (c) save them to a USB flash drive, (d) search by ingredient. Not too much more than that. Since the least expensive of your software pkgs is ...

After trying out a few recipe organization programs, I decided to purchase this one and did not regret it at all! It is very easy to enter your own recipes and do your meal planning in just minutes.

okay but not great I really liked the site and it was really easy to use. However, the "push" to sell me the upgrade to the organizer is so annoying that I think I will delete the program from my computer. I tried to enter new recipes today and every time I did that I got a pop up asking me to upgrade, I couldn't get past that. I hate things that say they are "free" and really aren't.

Good early effort but obsolete A perfectly respectable early virtural brochure, rather obviously written by techies and now completely overtaken by online Virtual Brochures. Lacks zoom function, which makes it less useful, and looks crude compared to current offerings. Easy to use, if you're not afraid of the word "compile".

Not for me This program was in my computer for about ten minutes before I uninstalled it. It had no easy to get started help wizard or any template that was easy to modify to what I wanted to do. In fact, I couldn't get one page to work.

Lack of support Nice program, easy to use and intuitive like they say - but when my non Windows PC readers had problems and I mailed for advice and info about where to get browser plug-ins got no answer at all - which is pretty darned average. Readers all jumped at the chance to get an alternative pdf copy instead - which kind of suggests it was a waste of money. But for me the lack of customer service is the crucial issue. I run a small one man business, but if my customers have a problem they get an answer either immediately ...

My review This program is exactly what I wanted just now to record family photos and documents including a family tree to distribute them to members of the family for furture reference having just lost my mother. I love the program and will find many more uses for it and I hope later on to derive an income from it. I can see many uses including replacing conference and taining background material which is currently handed out in hard copy. First I have to perfect my knowledge of the program. For home use I can use it recipe books and travel diaries ...

Although it says it works with MAC it does not so download failed.

Not quite what I`m looking for Hi, I'm basically looking for a good pantry/kitchen inventory keeper. Something that has stock on hand for each food item, keeps them in categories, possibly keeps storage place (i.e. fridge, freezer, shelf, etc.), and most importantly keeps the expiry date for the item. If you could run a report on what's about to expire, then you can plan menus to use that food more efficiently. I've been searching for months for an access template, and I've branched out to seek recipe databases, but haven't found anything, yet. Maybe I should just make my own.

Grocery List Most of what I have tried seems to be fine, but when I put a grocery list and then tell it to consolidate the items that are the same it does something weird with the amounts. It adds 1 lb and 1 lb to be 1.999999 and other weird stuff. Like 1 tsp and 1 tsp becomes .04cups. I don't remember if these are the exact measurements but very similar. This problem needs to be fixed!

Just Like Many Others I was looking specifically for software that would do certain nutrient calculations for each recipe. Unfortunately, this one did not meet my requirements. The program was fairly easy to navigate however, and the user-interface worked very well without having to refere to the user manual.

Downloaded app didn`t run I couldn't run the app. Got an error saying it wasn't a valid application. So... not so useful...
